Bucksteep Manor is located in a
cleft of Washington Mountain on 400
acres of property. We are fortunate
to have fields and meadows,
established gardens, and wooded
hiking trails as part of our
well-maintained grounds. Our
location affords a breathtaking
change of seasons and activities for
each. Throughout the seasons,
Bucksteep Manor guests experience
the joys of nature with many
glimpses of birds, raccoons, and the
occasional black bear or moose. |

Summer guests spend much of their
time at Bucksteep Manor
out-of-doors. Guests are welcome to
use the pool, volleyball, tennis and
basketball courts, and take hikes in
the woods. Feel free to bring your
own equipment, as ours is shared by
children and adults. We play a
variety of lawn games, including
badminton, horseshoes, croquet,
Frisbee, and wiffle ball.
Sing-along’s and s’mores around the
campfire are favored activities for
young and old alike. The porches are
relaxing spots to catch up with
friends or enjoy the scenery. Guests
are welcome to eat meals in the
dining room, Tavern or outdoors. |

Our guests enjoy cross country
skiing, snowshoeing and snowmobiling
in winter. Families build snowmen in
the central quadrangle and
horse-drawn hay wagon rides are
great fun. A roaring fire in the
fieldstone fireplace of the Manor
House lobby sets the mood for
evenings of board games and cards.
The Tavern is open during group
functions and maintains a fully
stocked bar with some local beers
and spirits, as well. The homey
atmosphere at the Manor House makes
for some cozy winter memories.
Bucksteep Manor is centrally located
in the beautiful Berkshires. Most
local attractions, such as the
Appalachian Trail,
Tanglewood,
Jacobs Pillow Dance Festival,
October Mountain State Forest
and
Jiminy Peak, are within minutes
or a half hour from our doors. Our
Innkeeper is available to assist
with your plans to enjoy all that
the Berkshires have to offer. We
will point you in the right
direction.
Of course there are loads of other
activities within an easy drive from
here. Enjoy all that the Berkshires
has to offer. A great resource for
other activities is the
Berkshire Visitors Bureau. |
